(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man has been convicted of six charges stemming from two attacks on the same woman.
A jury found Matthew Bryant, 29, guilty of burglary, a Class A felony; two counts of criminal confinement, both Class B felonies; two counts of intimidation and battery resulting in serious bodily injury, all Class C felonies.
The four-day trial ended Friday in Bartholomew Superior Court 1.
The charges stem from two attacks in December at the home of the woman, who told police she was trying to end her friendship with Bryant because of his criminal lifestyle, his fugitive status in connection to a shooting and because he was becoming increasingly unstable, according to a probable cause affidavit.
