(DUBOIS COUNTY) - Dubois County officials celebrated the 100th anniversary of the county courthouse on Saturday.
The ceremony was highlighted by a speech from long-time, now-retired Dubois County Circuit Court Judge Hugo Songer.
The original cost of the courthouse was $56,000 dollars back then. A tidy sum according to Songer, but money well-spent by county officials 100 years ago.
The courthouse was renovated in the mid-1990's at a cost of 3.2 million dollars.
The Dubois County courthouse was officially dedicated 100 years ago Saturday, on October 14, 1911.
