(GREENE COUNTY) - 43-year-old Michael Knight, of Spencer, was injured after a truck pulling a trailer made a wide right turn causing Knight to be thrown from his motorcycle, Tuesday Morning.
According to Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Terry Wade, 34-year-old Nathan Royer, of Switz City, was traveling south on State Road 57, when he made a wide right turn onto County Road 200 South.
Knight, who was driving a 2009 Yamaha V-Star Motorcycle, was driving behind the pickup that was pulling a gooseneck trailer. Knight was attempting to pass the truck and trailer. At the same time Royer decided to turn.
When Knight realized the truck was turning, he tried to stop, but the motorcycle fishtailed. Knight was thrown from the motorcycle, which then ignites and burns up, police say.
Switz City Fire Department responded to put out the blaze.
