(UNDATED) - The Indiana State Police are looking to hire some new troopers as part of its 72nd Recruit Academy.
Applications are being accepted for people interested in a career with ISP through Nov. 25.
ISP has some basic eligibility requirements.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, must be at least 21 and under age 40 when hired. They must also have vision that is correctable to 20/50, must have a valid driver's license and must have either a high school diploma or GED.
Recruits are paid $1,417.40 biweekly while in training. The starting salary is $38,444.
ISP offers a full health care plan that includes medical, dental, vision and pharmacy coverage for current employees and retirees, along with their families.
The ISP pension program provides lifetime pension after 25 years of service. Benefits also include disability coverage and a life insurance program.
