(BLOOMFIELD) - 63-year-old Danny L. Weaver, of Linton, was sentenced to 40 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with 10 years suspended, after a negotiated plea agreement on one count of child molestation, a Class A felony.
He was given credit for 152 days served in jail and will be placed on supervised probation for five years after his release.
Weaver, formerly of Bloomfield, was arrested May 18 by Linton Police Officer Paul Clark. Weaver was arrested in connection with the molestation of a 12-year-old girl on at least 10 different occasions from August to December 2010. The sexual encounters happened in Weaver's home in Bloomfield.
Danny and his wife, Debbie Weaver, disputed the allegations. However, results of a April 29 polygraph examination, administered by Indiana State Police, showed Weaver was "not truthful" in his response to relevant questions, according to court records.
