(ELLETSVILLE) (WTHI) - Police have made a second arrest in connection with a motel shooting that happened earlier this week.
Police planned to spend their Thursday searching for a man thought to be the shooter
in a burglary at the Royal Inn in Terre Haute, but the wanted man was arrested by Ellettsville Police on unrelated charges.
28-year-old Joseph Sims is a suspect in the shooting that happened late Monday night.
Investigators say Sims borrowed a van from a friend, 31-year-old Wendy Nicoson, and late Monday night Sims told her about the crime. Nicoson faces a felony charge of obstructing justice and is being held on $25,000 bond.
Sims is being held in Ellettsville on charges of intimidation of police with a deadly weapon and public intoxication.
He is expected to be back in Vigo County sometime after his court appearance in Monroe County.
The 48-year-old male manager is still in an Indianapolis hospital and police say his condition is improving and was able to talk to police.
