(WILLIAMS) - Michael Mahoney says the Mountain Lion is staying around his fields, because she has two cubs.
Mahoney saw mom and the two cubs, playing in the field last night.
"My neighbor's daughter saw them first and started yelling 'Look Look'," Mahoney says. "The cubs started to stray away from her and she started calling them back."
Mahoney is not the only one who has saw the cubs. His neighbors and landlord who lives across the field has seen them too.
"They come out about the same time every night," he says. "We watch them with binoculars."
Mahoney lives on Lynch road, about a half a mile west of Williams Dam.
Mahoney is concerned about their safety.
"Several people have said they will shot them," he says. "They don't bother anyone. If I see anyone with a gun I will call police. It's against the law to harm them and I'll make sure they go to jail, if they try to harm them."
Indiana Fish and Wildlife have been contacted and Mahoney will call them again today to inform them about the cubs.
