(BEDFORD) - 26-year-old Jarrod W. Barrow, of Broadview Heights, who had served three tours in Iraq, died after his car veered from the road and hit a tree Monday afternoon.
Lawrence County Police Cpt. Jim Hornocker says Barrow was driving north on Bartlettsville Road, at a high-rate of speed, when he lost control of his 2008 Subaru Impeza, left the roadway crashing into a tree.
Barrow was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His body had to be removed from the wreckage by a Bedford Fire Department extrication team. Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
