(TIMES-MAIL) - Mitchell High School senior Sutton Roach was named Lawrence County’s 2012 Junior Miss Saturday night
Roach received a $3,000 scholarship for taking the title. She also received two category awards worth $100 each. She will advance to the state program in February.
Bridgette Kuehn was named first runner-up. The Bedford North Lawrence High School senior received a $1,250 scholarship. Second runner-up and receiving $700 was Allison Trevithick, a MHS senior. BNL senior Morgan Vice was third runner-up and was awarded $400.
Mariah Hicks was chosen Spirit of Junior Miss and received a $250 award.

Thirteen young women participated in the program, which took place in the BNL Performing Arts Center.
Ten category awards of $100 each were presented in the areas of judging - self expression, fitness, interview, creative and performing arts and scholastic achievement:
Self expression: Bridgette Kuehn and Allison Trevithick
Fitness: Mariah Hicks (BNL) and Elizabeth Burris (BNL)
Creative and Performing Arts: Mariah Hicks and Morgan Vice
Scholastic Achievement: Bridgette Kuehn and Sutton Roach
Interview: Allison Trevithick and Sutton Roach
