(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police Officers worked on an accident yesterday that left two women injured.
In the first accident, 83-year-old Beatrice Carter was injured when she pulled her vehicle into the path of a Chevy Blazer Thursday afternoon.
Carter told Lawrence County police the other vehicle left the scene. Carter says she was attempting to cross the median on Ind. 37 at the Bedford Ford dealership when she crossed into the path of the Blazer.
Carter complained of leg pain, but refused medical treatment.
In the second accident, 21-year-old Morgan Hayden, of Bowling Green, complained of pain after she pulled her 2001 Kia into the path of another vehicle at McDonalds yesterday evening.
According to Lawrence County Police reports, 41-year-old Risla Delawter, of Bedford, was traveling north on Ind. 37 from Ind. 60, when Hayden pulled into the path of Delawter's 2010 Toyota. Delawter says Hayden didn't have her headlights on.
