(UNDATED) - An accident on Ind. 54 West near Reuter Lane had traffic blocked until around 2 p.m. Monday after a drilling rig truck, used for drill blasting charges for quarries, pulling a pick-up truck overturned around 7:47 a.m.
According to Lawrence County Police reports, 47-year-old Charles Reed, of Freetown, was traveling east on Ind. 54, down Red Hill when the 2000 Chevrolet pick-up truck he was towing began to sway back and forth going off the south side of the road
Reed was unable to keep the truck under control and it overturned near the intersection of Reuter Lane and slid to a stop after hitting an embankment. There was some property damaged by leaking oil and diesel fuel. The damage is being assessed by Best Environmental Services.
Reed did complain of pain to his knee and leg following the accident.
