(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was not injured when he fell asleep and rolled his pickup truck early Saturday around 3 a.m.
22-year-old Todd Smith was trapped inside his 2000 Chevy pickup truck and had to be freed by the Bedford Fire Department extrication team.
Lawrence County Police officer Cory Medlock says Smith was traveling on Ind. 58 near Rocky Creek Road when he fell asleep and hit a tree on the north side of the roadway. His truck then flipped on the bridge.
Police say Smith had been drinking, but was not drunk. Smith says he was not injured and refused medical treatment.
