(BLOOMFIELD) - 29-year-old Crystal Curnett, of Jasonville became irate Nov. 3 when she was being transferred from one holding cell to another and attacked two Greene County Jail officers.
According to a probable cause affidavit she allegedly hit Jail Officer Shawn Cullison in the face several times and kicked Jail Officer Marlene Newby in the shoulder and chest.
Cullison suffered a cut to the lip and elbow, while Newby complained of pain to her shoulder and chest area.
Curnett was charged Thursday with two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury on a law enforcement officer. She is being held in jail on multiple charges resulting from a July altercation at a Jasonville residence in which she allegedly punched and strangled a woman, stabbed a man in the hand, then confined him in the house at knife-point for more than two hours.
She is awaiting trial on charges of criminal confinement armed with a deadly weapon, battery committed with a deadly weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, strangulation, and battery resulting in bodily injury.
