(BEDFORD) - Geo-Flo Products Corporation is sending students from North Lawrence Community Schools to the WonderLab Museum of Science, Health and Technology in Bloomington.
The Bedford company's $4,050 donation covers bus transportation and includes a partial admission subsidy for group visits by approximately 823 students with their teachers and chaperones. Each student receives a WonderLab free admission pass to encourage the students and their families to return on a weekend or school holiday.
This marks the fifth consecutive school year that Geo-Flo has helped fund the NLCS field trips to WonderLab.
The donation benefits all fourth grade students because of the alignment of the museum's experiences with that grade's science curriculum and all sixth grade students because of that grade level's focus on exploring career possibilities. The field trip also supports language arts, as many teachers follow up on the field trip with a composition assignment in the form of letters to Geo-Flo or WonderLab.
Established in 1988, Geo-Flo Products Corporation is the world's leading manufacturer of geothermal loop pump modules. The company, which employs 16 people, is located at 905 Williams Park Drive in Bedford.
