(ORANGE COUNTY) - Golf carts were used Wednesday to help police catch up with a man who had been involved in a collision.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Department and officers from French Lick and West Baden Springs responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident on County Road 1000 West at 2:15 p.m.
When they arrived they found the driver had ran from the scene into the woods. With the help of staff members from the Donald Ross Golf Course, officers used golf carts to locate 53-year-old Anthony Love, of Mitchell.
He was taken by ambulance to IU Health Paoli Hospital for treatment from injuries he suffered during the crash. Love has been charged with driving with a suspended license and further charges are possible.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
