(UNDATED) - With the holidays approaching and unemployment high shoplifting is increasing.
On Monday, 21-year-old Timothy Vincent Justin Scott, of Goshen, was arrested by city police for criminal conversion and criminal mischief. He was arrested after an Walmart employee reported a male paid for some items but then shoplifted a bluetooth device, food and deodorant around 12:47 p.m.
Scott threw the deodorant down and ran with the rest, leaving the parking lot on foot. Someone brought him back to Walmart, where he was arrested.
On Tuesday, 59-year-old Offie Tuddy, of 3108 Ted Jones Drive, and 30-year-old Emily D. Lloyd, of Orleans, was arrested for shoplifting at the Bedford Wal-Mart around 5:46 p.m.
They are being held at the Lawrence County Jail.
