(JOHNSON COUNTY) - A Johnson County man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after police say someone beat him in the head with a police baton.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Brandon Staley after they found his mother's boyfriend lying in a pool of blood.
The victim and Staley's mother were arguing about where they would be spending Thanksgiving. Staley told the man to leave and the two got into a fight. Police say Staley grabbed a wooden police baton and hit the victim in the head.
The man received staples and stitches to close the wound. Staley was booked into the Johnson County Jail on an aggravated battery charge.
