(OOLITIC) - Indiana Limestone workers are still walking the picket lines. About 50 members of the Millworkers Local 8093 went on strike Wednesday morning.
Union Negotiator Ron Watson has not heard anything from Indiana Limestone. The union is willing to talk and stresses that wages are not an issue. Workers are concerned about seniority rights and proposed tighter limits for workers who become sick or take days off, or are late to work.
On Wednesday, Indiana Limestone released a statement stating they were "disappointed that in this difficult economic time, when many Hoosiers are looking for work, the union would choose not to work even after being offered what we consider to be a generous contract offer." No other statements have been issued.
