(LINTON) - Several employees at Angell’s Food Center in Linton managed to hold a shoplifting down on the ground until police arrived Thursday afternoon.
19-year-old David L. Lahmann, of Linton, was arrested and charged with theft and resisting law enforcement.
Police were called around 1:45 p.m. Before they arrived to the scene, Lahmann left the store with two bags of groceries that he did not pay for and was confronted in the parking lot by employees.
Lahmann allegedly became physical with employees who were trying to restrain him. When police arrived, Lahmann was being held down on the ground by several Angell's employees.
Lahmann was taken to the Greene County Jail in Bloomfield. Bond was set at $5,000.
