(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell school bus with eight students aboard crashed into a fence and trees this morning.
No one was injured during the incident.
According to Lawrence County Police, 50-year-old Carol Phillips, of Mitchell, was driving the bus on Sportsman Club Road near Lakewood Drive when the bus started to slide toward the edge of the road.
The bus hit a dip in the asphalt and that caused the bus to be pulled off the roadway. The bus went over a small embankment and crashed into two trees and a fence.
