(WEST BADEN) - 27-year-old Joshua Crowder and a 17-year-old female, both of West Baden, are in critical condition after being involved in a single-car accident early Saturday morning.
Both were flown by helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital. The accident happened on County Road 225 West, just south of U.S.50/Ind. 56 junction to Paoli Peaks.
Both Crowder and the teen were passengers in a 2003 Buick Century driven by 22-year-old Rueben McMackins. He was taken by ambulance to Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital and then to a Bloomington hospital.
According to police, McMackins was traveling north and was entering a dip in the road when the car went airborne. It left the roadway on the east side and cart-wheeled, causing the teen and Crowder to be thrown from the car.
The accident remains under investigation.
