(BEDFORD) - Bedford North Lawrence senior Courtney Crane was recognized by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association for attaining Academic All-State honors in cross country.
Crane is one of only 25 athletes from around the state to be honored by the ICGSA.
Bedford North Lawrence Girls Cross Country Coach Kathy Hammel, who nominated Crane for the award, was happy to see one of her athletes earn statewide recognition.
Crane wrapped up her cross country career at No. 11 on the all-time list at BNL. She currently ranks fourth in her class with a 4.197 GPA, also played soccer this past fall. She also advanced to the track state finals a year ago after claiming a regional crown in the 400 meters.
Crane's goal this year is to break the school record in the 400 meters.
