(COLUMBUS) - A two-hour standoff with police ended early Monday morning with the arrest of 49-year-old James B. Hatton.
He was at a mobile home on Honey Locust Place in Country Squire Lakes when Jennings County Sheriff's deputies arrived at about 2 a.m. to arrest him on a warrant charging him with burglary and theft.
Deputies said they were told Hatton was in a back room and had several guns in the room with him.
Other people inside the home were removed, and deputies secured the area around the r.
After trailer. When the standoff ended, deputies found two shotguns and a rifle in the room where Hatton had barricaded himself, according to the sheriff's department.
Hatton was taken to the Jennings County Jail on the warrant. He also will face charges from the standoff, according to police.
