(BLOOMFIELD) - 19-year-old Austin Brown, of Linton, was sentenced to eight years in prison Wednesday following his guilty plea to two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Greene Circuit Judge Erik Allen sentenced Brown to four years with two years suspended on two separate class C felony sexual conduct charges, the result of a guilty plea after entering into a negotiated plea agreement with the prosecution.
The sentences will be served consecutively, meaning one sentence will have to be completed before the other begins.
Brown was fined $100, court costs of $165, a sexual assault victim fee of $250, and child abuse prevention fee of $100 on Count 1. He was ordered to pay an additional $100 fine in Count 2.
Brown was also ordered to register as a sex or violent offender for a period of 10 years after his release from prison.
The case originated in April when the mother of the two male victims, ages 15 and 16, filed a complaint alleging Brown had numerous sexual encounters with the two boys.
