(MITCHELL) - The Indiana Department of Child Services, Indianapolis Colts and Cargo Services Inc. have set a goal to provide backpacks filled with 25 age-appropriate books for every Indiana child in foster care.
The Mitchell Community Public Library is helping achieve this goal by providing a place where patrons can donate new books to the "Books for Youth" campaign.
Books collected will be given to local youth ages birth to 18, who are in foster care. Collection boxes are placed near each circulation desk.
For more information or special coloring sheets, check the web site www.in.gov/dcs/2342.htm.
