Two Arrested In Leesville On Meth Charges

(LEESVILLE) - Two people were arrested Dec. 19 on drug charges after Indiana State Police served a search warrant at a home on Ditney Ridge Road in Leesville.

Arrested were 29-year-old Brandon Brown and 29-year-old Jessie Nikirk Jackson.

Brown is charged with manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of methamphetamines over 30 grams, maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependent and possession of paraphernalia.

Jackson was charged with possession of precursors, possession of meth, neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

A 4-year-old child in the home was removed by Child Protective Services.

Police said they found a red phosphorus meth lab, one of the most dangerous because of toxic exposure. They also found numerous items associated with the making of meth in the home.

The lab produces a dangerous gas to life and health at 50 parts per million, according to ISP Trooper Joshua Allen.

Other dangerous chemicals found were Muriatic acid, Aceton, Iodine Tincture, drain cleaner and phosphorous. Police also found more than 30 grams of meth and paraphernalia used to ingest meth and marijuana.

The ISP clandestine lab was called to clean up the site.
