(MITCHELL) - Two people suffered minor injuries after their vehicles collided on Yockey Road Friday afternoon.
Lawrence County police reports said 31-year-old Michael Webb, of Bedford, was traveling west on Yockey Road when his radar detector sounded. Webb told police he looked to see how fast he was going and that is when his 1998 Ford Windstar went into on-coming traffic.
Webb's Windstar hit a 2010 Kia driven by 57-year-old Steven Stroud, of Oolitic. Stroud told police he tried to avoid the collision, but was unable to.
Webb complained of chest pain. Stroud complained of elbow and arm pain. Neither went to the hospital, according to police reports.
