(BLOOMFIELD) - Bloomfield High School parents have found a way to benefit their upcoming after prom while also getting that old prom dress out of your closet.
Bloomfield junior parents will host a prom dress sale at the Bloomfield High School cafeteria Sunday, January 29th from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Admission to view the dresses is free.
Those interested in selling their old dress can drop it off at the Bloomfield High School cafeteria Friday between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.
The consignment fee is $5 when the dress is dropped off, and the seller sets the price. If the dress is sold there is an additional $5 fee.
"It is free to shop and anyone can bring in dresses," junior parent Tena Edwards explained, noting the sale and purchase of dresses is not limited to Bloomfield students.
The fees will go towards Bloomfield High School's after prom.
Previous junior parents have been successful, and brought in significant profit.
When the dresses are dropped off, the seller will be required to fill out a form detailing what schools the dress has been previously worn and what year.
Sellers must return to the cafeteria Sunday after the sale to pick up their checks or their dress.
