(BLOOMFIELD) - Bloomfield Jr./Sr. High School’s homecoming will be held on January 21st.
Crowning ceremonies will take place between the junior varsity and varsity games at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Alumni, including basketball players, cheerleaders and Redliners, with a graduation date ending in "2," will be recognized at halftime of the varsity game. Please RSVP to 384-4241 if you will attend. Bloomfield will face Shoals.
A parade/pep session is planned for Jan. 18 starting at 5:15 p.m. in front of the school. Students will decorate their vehicles and join in the caravan and spectators are invited to line up on Spring Street to watch.
Angela Brown, student council sponsor, hopes parents and students will come out for the parade. "We hope to have the street lined with enthusiastic spectators," she says. "This is the third year for our parade and it gets bigger every year."
A spirit week for the students is planned for next week. "Homecoming is always a fun time," Brown said. "It's a time for old friends to meet, share memories and enjoy the festivities. We hope to have a big crowd."
Senior queen candidates are Zandra Mitchell, Jordan Gillenwater, and Emily Walker; prince/princess candidates are Andrew Dawson, Daley Jarman, Nicole Hughes, Jared Myers, Rosie Allgood, Brady Gadberry; king candidates Joshua Axe, Bryan Lifford and Joshua Holmes; and prince/princess Candidates Ally Fink, Del Carter, Katelyn Van Sant, Niki Bickel, Kyle Robinson, Cody Hutcherson.
