(LAWRENCE COUNTY) -The early morning storms on Tuesday morning left minor damage to the area, according to Director of Emergency Management Valarie Luchauer.
There were reports of tree limbs down and street signs blown over, she says. There was also a report of a possible funnel cloud spotted on Huron-Williams Road around 9:40 a.m., but it was unconfirmed.
Luchauer says General Motor employees did take shelter when the sirens sounded and school officials escorted student from buses and students that drove to school from car to secure areas until the all clear was sounded.
Middle Leesville Road was closed in the 1300 block because a culvert had collapsed.
Luchauer says the county continues to be under a flood watch until Thursday.
