(BLOOMINGTON) - The body of missing 57-year-old Mildred Diane Singleton was found by a search party led by Bloomington Police.
Singleton was last seen at her home in the area of Hearthstone Court, around 4 a.m. Monday. Bloomington Sgt. Joe Crider say Singleton walked away from her home.
Her husband Earl Singleton, reported his wife missing, says she left their home on Hearthstone Court not dressed for the cold weather. A Silver Alert was issued just before 6 a.m.
Volunteers, family members and police searched the area of Ind. 446 and Moore's Pike. A search party found Singleton's body around 5:30 p.m., near the intersection of Ind. 446 and East Third Street and about 200 meters from Bruster's Ice Cream. The spot was about one mile from her home. He body was found at the bottom of a hill, near a creek.
Police do not expect that any foul play was involved.
