(BEDFORD) - Bedford’s Wiley Art Center offers several opportunities to view the work of local artists and improve one’s art skills through classes and workshops.
Below is information about the center's upcoming art show:
February Show
"Putting Our Heart Into Our Art, " a Valentine's themed show. Opening night: Jan. 27, 5-7 p.m. with a reception open to the public. The art show will run through Feb. 18.
Featured Artists
Members of the Limestone Girls Club, ages 6-12.
In September, several girls began taking classes from Tara Jones of the Lawrence County Art Association. The girls studied monochromatic drawing, multi-color drawing, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, mixed media and sculpture.
About 10-12 girls met every Tuesday through December from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Girls Club. Guest speakers from the Lawrence County Art Association, including Imogene Myers, Beverly Dalton and Jo Jones, visited the class to share their art experiences.
