(DUBOIS) - Contractors working on the storm sewer replacement in Dubois are just about done with the project.
Jason Heile, county engineer with Dubois County highway department, says the contractors have 99 percent of pipe and inlet structures installed.
Dave O'Mara Contractors from Bloomington has been working on the project for the last two years.
Heile says a lot of old storm sewers had collapsed in the past, causing standing water to pond throughout town during heavy rains.
Dubois County Commissioners received a $1 million grant from Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) to pay for the new Dubois sewer project.
