(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police are investigating a semi-tractor trailer van crash at the intersection of Mitchell Road and 18th Street.
The accident happened Monday just before 1 p.m. in the southbound lanes.
Emergency workers had one northbound lane open which they were directing traffic past the accident scene.
The accident is still under investigation and no accident report was available this morning.
According to police logs, 58-year-old Jerry Ware, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was cited for disregarding a traffic signal.
The road was closed to remove the damaged vehicles and to put sand on the roadways after fluid from the vehicles spilled on the roadways. The road was reopened around 3:28 p.m.
