(BLOOMINGTON) - Backstreet Missions in Bloomington has been chosen as a participant in the ESPN/Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.
Indiana University Men's Basketball Coach Tom Crean is participating in the national event and he chose Backstreet Mission as his charity of choice.
As a participating charity, Backstreet Mission will receive $5,000 from Infiniti and is in the running to win $100,000. Linda (True) Kelley, formerly of Mitchell, is the executive director of the mission.
Coach Crean and Backstreet Missions are up against coaches and charities from around the country. The eventual winner will be selected on the number of votes the coach/charity team receive from members of the community. To vote, go to www.espn.com/infiniti or www.backstreet.org. The public can vote once a day from now until March 8. The winner will be announced March 9.
