(BLOOMFIELD) - 40-year-old Marty Armes of Bloomfield was arrested after police say he came home drunk on Feb. 19th and began yelling and got into a fight with another male. (GC DAILY WORLD)
A woman attempted to stop the fight and that is when Armes allegedly put his arms around her throat and lifted her off the floor and then threw her into the wall.
Then Armes smashed a computer and kicked a hole in a bedroom door and smashed a bookcase. This all happened in the presence of a 5 and 17-year-old girl.
Armes then left with a 17-year-old girl, who witnessed the altercation, after a friend came to pick up them up. The two went to Bloomington where they spent the night at the Scottish Inn Motel.
Armes was arrested and charged with domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16-years-old and strangulation. Armes posted a $888 bond and was released from jail. He is scheduled to appear in Greene County Court on March 12th.
