(SOLSBERRY) -25-year-old Savanah Allen, of Bloomfield, was killed Wednesday morning when another vehicle crossed the center line and hit her vehicle head-on.
Allen was pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Coroner Sherry Wilson.
According to Greene County Sheriff Department police reports, Allen was traveling west on State Road 445, in a 1998 Chevy Lumina, when a 2008 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 30-year-old Jason Hays, of Bloomfield, crossed the center line.
The wreck was about 1,800 feet west of the intersection of State Road 445 and State Road 45. The force of the impact caused Allen's car to spin and go off the embankment on the north side, overturn and come to a stop on the driver's side leaning up against a couple of small trees.
After hitting, the impact sent Hays Jeep off the south side of the road and it stopped along the edge of the road. Hayes was treated at the scene.
The Indiana State Police were called to do a reconstruction of the accident and the accident is still under investigation.
