(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Animal Care and Control will be closed today and Thursday in order to perform some necessary cleaning and maintenance tasks.
No animals will be received into the shelter on these days. However, staff will still be available to receive telephone requests for assistance and Animal Control Officers will be available to respond to calls.
The shelter will resume normal hours of operation on Friday.
The public can normally visit adoptable animals at the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter located at 3410 South Walnut. The shelter is open to the public Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from noon until 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
