(BLOOMINGTON) - A man who died Monday on the Indiana University campus may have suffered a heart attack before he crashed his truck into a tree, authorities say.
William Greene, 58, of Bloomington, died Monday morning as he was starting his first day of construction work for subcontracting company I.S.I.
IU Police Chief Keith Cash said Greene was parking near the Mellencamp Pavilion when it's believed he suffered a heart attack, drove off the road and collided with a tree.
Monroe County Coroner Nicole Meyer said Greene did not die from injuries in the crash, which left his truck with only paint scrapes.
Meyer said toxicology results could eventually determine whether Greene died from a heart attack or some other medical problem.
