(COLUMBUS) - Columbus added jobs at a faster rate last year than any other metropolitan area in the U.S.
The number of jobs in the Columbus metro area grew by 6.4 percent between December 2010 and December 2011. All other 371 metro areas in the U.S. recorded a growth no larger than 5.9 percent, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
The Christian Science Monitor reported the data on its website, citing Columbus' manufacturing prowess, particularly the global corporate giant Cummins Inc.
