(BROWNSTOWN) - Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the courthouse annex at Brownstown to consider a request for a special exception to allow for a commercial grain elevator and trucking operation in Vernon Township.
That request is being made by Scott Teipen on behalf of Tampico Grain and Wischmeier Trucking for property owned by Scott Teipen and his father, Phil Teipen, at U.S. 31 and County Road 400 South in Vernon Township.
Tampico Grain and Wischmeier Trucking are owned by Steve and Beth Wischmeier, of Seymour.
The Teipens are asking for the special exception to allow for the operation of a business on 83.07 acres that are zoned for agricultural use.
