(SEYMOUR) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists that road work will be taking place at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Chestnut Street in Seymour.
INDOT maintenance crews began work Monday repairing a storm drain beneath the roadway.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane for eastbound and two lanes for westbound travel through the intersection. Orange cones and signage will be in place to assist motorists with lane shifts.
It is anticipated that work will begin each day at approximately 8:00 a.m. weather permitting.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.in.gov.
