(BROWNSTOWN) - Officers with Jackson County Sheriff’s Department investigated 263 calls about possible offenses and responded to 57 wrecks in January, according to Sheriff Michael Carothers’ monthly report.
County officers served 17 Jackson Circuit Court warrants and 95 circuit court papers, and 372 papers and 41 warrants from the county's two superior courts.
Officers also issued 14 citations and made 295 security checks while the county's animal control officer responded to 25 calls about dogs.
Volunteer fire departments responded to 105 calls during the month, Jackson County Emergency Medical Service crews made 521 runs and dispatchers received 1,611 emergency 911 calls.
There also were 77 county ordinance citations for traffic violations issued.
