(HICKORY GROVE) - Police found missing 90-year-old George Hilderbrand.
Hilderbrand, of Hope, went missing Saturday around 2 p.m., according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil.
Hilderbrand and his wife were at Hickory Grove Church when he got into an verbal argument with his wife and walked away into the Hoosier National Forest.
A Silver Alert was not issued for Hilderbrand because he did not meet medical requirements for the alert, and he voluntarily walked into the woods, Durnil said.
Crews from the Department of Natural Resources, local volunteer fire department, the Indiana State and Lawrence County Police and an Indiana State Police Helicopter searched the area, but could not locate Hilderbrand.
They continued their search at daybreak Sunday morning.
Hilderbrand was found around 9:30 a.m. reportedly near the Hickory Grove Church.
Hilderbrand had been missing for over 19 hours and had been taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out.
Police say his condition was not life threatening.
