Roach Advances, But Does Not Place In Scholarship Program

(KOKOMO) - Mitchell High School senior Sutton Roach advanced to but did not place in the final night of competition of Indiana’s Distinguished Young Woman scholarship program Saturday night in Kokomo.

Roach was one of 20 high school senior girls from around Indiana in the competition.

Preliminary competition began Thursday with girls performing in fitness, talent and self-expression. Eight finalists were named Saturday night for a final night of judging and naming of the winner.

Roach was named Lawrence County's representative last October.
