(DUGGER) - Indiana Conservation Officers discovered a missing man’s body in the Greene-Sullivan State Forest Thursday morning, officials from the Department of Natural Resources said.
43-year-old Andrew W. Pridemore of Sullivan was found in the Greene-Sullivan State Forest Dugger Unit, an area of the forest that is a reclaimed coal mine. Officers were searching after he was reported missing. They found the his vehicle, then began searching around Bass Lake. Officers found the body around 9:20 a.m. Thursday.
Sullivan County Coroner Jeff Griffith ruled the cause of death strangulation, but no foul play was suspected, and no autopsy was planned, DNR said in a news release Thursday evening.
Sullivan County Sheriff's Department, Sullivan County Coroner's Office and Sullivan City Police assisted in the investigation.
