(BLOOMFIELD) - The military gave members of the JR ROTC program at Bloomfield High School a free lift to Hawaii.
Dana Winklepleck, of the Greene County Daily World, reports the 15 students had to leave for spring break a few days early in order to get the free ride aboard the cargo plane.
While in Hawaii, the students will visit many historic World War Two sites including the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.
The trip costs each student $400.
Besides the free plane ride, the Marines are allowing students to stay in their barracks for free.
