(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police Sgt. Steve Kellans arrested a Bloomington couple on allegations of prescription fraud.
A pharmacist at Williams Brothers Health Care Pharmacy on Landmark Avenue called police Feb. 14 after receiving a suspicious prescription from 33-year-old Ben Baker, and 33-year-old Natasha Baker.
The Pharmacist told police The prescription was for methadone, which the doctor who supposedly wrote the prescription does not prescribe.
The couple were arrested on outstanding warrants. Ben Baker was charged with prescription fraud, and possession of stolen property, because they stole the scripts used to write the alleged fake prescriptions.
Natasha Baker was charged with prescription fraud.
Kellams says the case is still under investigation and other charges could be pending.
