(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are investigating a 13-year-old boy’s report that he was approached by a woman, who handed him a condom and invited him to join her in the restrooom of Building Trades Park Monday afternoon.
Abby tonsing, of the Herald-Times reports the teenager's father contacted police about 6:30 p.m. and met with officers at the park, across the street from IU Health Bloomington Hospital, to take an attempted misconduct with a minor report.
The 13-year-old boy told police that while he was at the park, he was approached by a white woman in her late 20s, with blonde hair and a stocky build. The teenager described the woman's eyes as "extremely bright blue," and he believed she was wearing contacts, Sgt. Steve Kellams said.
He reported that while he was standing next to the restroom, the woman approached him, handed him a condom and asked him to meet her in the restroom, Kellams said. When the teen said no, the woman left.
The teenager told police that the same thing happened to a friend of his on Saturday, according to a police report.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bloomington police at (812) 339-4477.
