(BLOOMFIELD) - Greene County Ambulance Service Director David Doane will send out an invitation to different manufactures to submit a price quote for a new box-style ambulance to serve the Bloomfield-based station.
Doane explained that the current ambulance is a 2008 Ford with 168,000 miles. He estimated by the time a new ambulance is put into service the mileage will be near 180,000 miles.
According to Doane, the funding for the new ambulance would come from the Ambulance Services' EMS Fund, which currently has $101,800 in the account.
